What precautions should you take during SEV laser treatment? ›

Stay out of the sun, use sunscreen, and avoid sunless tanners, self-tanning lotions, tanning beds, and tanning sprays for at least 2 weeks before and after your appointment. Your skin must be at its base color.

After your treatment, wait at least 7-10 days before shaving again.

Pulling out loose hair after a laser hair removal session is not recommended. It disrupts the hair growth cycle; when hairs are loose it means the hair is in its cycle of removal. If it's removed before it dies on its own, it could stimulate hair to grow again.

What type of laser does SEV use? ›

Precautions. Lasers should be operated in a closed room or curtained area with controlled access. Extra goggles should be kept outside the room should entry be necessary by authorized personnel during laser treatment.

General tips. Don't wear makeup on the treated area until it's completely healed. Avoid exposing the treated area to the sun until it's completely healed. If you need to be in the sun, use sunscreen of at least SPF 50 or wear clothing or a hat that protects the treated area from the sun.

Do not use any products like retinol, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, or scrubs to face for 48-72 hours post-treatment. You can resume normal daily activities after each treatment, you should avoid direct sun exposure and use sunblock.
