Laser for Eye Wrinkles | CO2, Pico and Tixel Laser for Under-Eye Wrinkles (2024)

Tixel* is the best laser for eye wrinkles. It has many advantages over other laser treatments, the most obvious of which is treating the entire eye area, including safely treating the upper and lower eyelids right to the lid margin. This gives Tixel a unique advantage for under-eye wrinkles, crow’s feet, skin laxity of the brow, and other aging signs from sun damage around the eye.

  • Tixel has skin-tightening and rejuvenating effects that can treat wrinkles, lines, and lid sagginess.
  • It treats sun damage, pigmentation, and redness.

Overview of Eye Wrinkle Treatments:

Our doctors and nurses can combine multiple modalities with laser treatment for eye wrinkles. It is essential to know what causes each area of concern around the eye and why our doctors and therapists choose one modality over another. The three areas in which people most commonly seek treatment are: 1. under-eye wrinkles, 2. crow’s feet (wrinkles at the side of the eye), and 3. upper brow laxity (wrinkles and lines combined with drooping of the upper brow)

Treatment of Under-Eye Wrinkles

A combination of volume (fat) loss beneath the eyes, frequent eye movement, inflammation, and sun damage results in wrinkles under the eyes. Volume loss is often the determining factor in under-eye wrinkles.

The under-eye fat pads shrink and slide down the cheeks, which causes a deficit in the area immediately under the eyes. The volume loss creates a shadowing or dark circle and a crinkling and bunching of skin on facial expressions. Repeated facial expressions have less of an effect on the development of undereye wrinkles than crow feet. However, there is some impact.

  • Our cosmetic doctors volumise and fill under the skin to treat under-eye wrinkles.
  • PDO mono threads are a new emerging treatment to volumise under the eye, along with specialised Avaderm thread treatments.
  • Smoothing under eye wrinkles usually necessitates laser resurfacing.
  • Crow’s feet and under-eye wrinkle laser treatments are frequently combined.
  • Our doctors can combine other treatments.
  • CO2 laser for under-eye wrinkles is limited because of the safety of treating up to the lid, and ocular shields must be worn.
  • Collagen-stimulating treatments, including Tixel, PRP, skin needling, and RF microneedling, are commonly combined with laser treatment of the under-eye area.

Laser for Under-eye Wrinkles

  • Laser treatment for undereye wrinkles includes Tixel, CO2 laser, Pico laser, and fractionated RF.
  • Tixel is superior because the lower lid can be safely treated to the margin.
  • Eye laser treatment with Tixel provides skin tightening and collagen stimulation.
  • Tixel combined with PRP can help improve the texture and quality of the skin in this area.
  • Additional under-eye laser treatments include a vascular laser for dark circles.

Although eye cream is essential, you can usually extend the wrinkle cream on your face to the eye area. Also, ongoing sun protection with sunglasses to retard the progression of ageing changes should always be included with any laser for wrinkles under the eye.

Crows’ Feet Wrinkle Treatment

Crows’ feet are wrinkles that appear around the eyes and result from repeated expression, inflammation, and sun damage. The primary cause, however, is the result of repeated muscle movement seen when you smile, laugh, or squint. When you are young and you smile, your skin bounces back to a smooth rest after expression. However, with time, the repeated expression results in a wear-and-tear type defect in the dermal skin layers, and the lines progressively become deeper and more fixed. Fortunately, our doctors can provide wrinkle treatment that can soften crow’s feet, rejuvenating the appearance of the eye area.

However, laser and other treatments may be combined and become especially important with a more fixed expression of sun-damaged lines and regions. All medical procedures should be carried out in tandem with home care. A good eye cream is recommended.

  • Because these wrinkles are primarily caused by movement, doctor-assisted wrinkle treatments are commonly used to smooth them.
  • Starting wrinkle treatment early prevents crow’s feet from progressing.
  • As sun damage or ageing changes to the skin increase, lasers should be added for maximal results.
  • Lasers for crow’s feet include Tixel, CO2 laser, Pico laser, or RF microneedling
  • Additional modalities can include PDO monothreads.
  • An eye cream with Vitamin A is essential (whether specialised or simply extending the wrinkle cream you use on your face to the eye area)
  • Protection from ongoing damage and sun protection measures.
  • Laser resurfacing is the preferred treatment for severely sun-damaged skin.
  • Some people choose lasers because they dislike the idea of injection treatments.

Laser for Crow’s Feet Treatment

  • Tixel laser is the most appropriate as it can safely treat the entire area, creating a rejuvenating effect right on the side of the eye. Tixel can be used on all skin types and is effective in fair skin types. Lower settings are used with darker skin types due to the heat response.
  • Other lasers, such as pico lasers, are best suited for skin colour.
  • RF microneedling can also have an impact.
  • Laser treatment in the crow’s feet is often accompanied by anti-wrinkle therapies, PRP, and PDO threads.
  • Co2 laser for crow’s feet can be used up to skin type 4
  • Pico Laser for Crow’s Feet People with colour, such as Asian skin or Fitzpatrick 4 skin types, respond better to Pico, which is laser and inappropriate for fair skin types as they have a suboptimal response.

Wrinkle Treatment for Crow’s Feet

  • Our doctors provide wrinkle treatment. Beginning early softens existing eye wrinkles and aids in preventing new ones.
  • Wrinkle treatments are typically initiated in people’s late twenties or early thirties.
  • You can immediately resume your normal activities.
  • However, you will see results within 2–7 days (depending on the type of anti-wrinkle injections you receive).
  • As a result of the treatment, you may experience bruising and temporary eyelid or brow drooping.
  • The wrinkle treatment softens eye wrinkles for three to four months, at which point you should retreat.

Upper Brow Laxity, Lines and Droopiness

Brow descent, volume loss in the temple and around the eye, sun damage, and aging contribute to upper brow laxity, lines, and droopiness. The brow descent results from changes to soft tissue in the face and the pull of gravity. As a result, the eyebrow descends, leading to upper brow laxity. Once this advances, it causes upper lid bagginess, which may eventually require surgery. Volume loss also occurs in the entire eye area, with general sagging of the brow, formation of fine lines and wrinkling. Optimal treatment of this area includes a combination of Tixel or another skin tightening or volumising treatment, eye creams, and ongoing sun protection.

  • A non-surgical brow lift is achieved with a combination of treatments from our doctors to the temple or under the brow and laser or other skin-tightening treatments.
  • Treatment for this area needs primarily to be skin tightening and lifting.
  • HIFU and Tixel are both suitable for a non-surgical brow lift.
  • Surgery becomes an option for advanced brow laxity
  • An eye cream with Vitamin A is essential.
  • Protection from ongoing damage and sun protection measures.

Eye Wrinkle Treatment Costs.

Eye wrinkle laser treatment Costs

Eye wrinkle laser treatment with Tixel is $400 or $1160 in a package of 4. This modality stimulates new collagen in the skin, resulting in long-lasting results. Therefore, you may require a yearly top-up treatment. Our laser therapists can treat right over the eyelid, which is safe for all skin types. The entire area and all three major aging concerns are addressed.

CO2 laser resurfacing for crow’s feet costs $700 per treatment. Under-eye wrinkles are usually treated with lasers simultaneously; however, this is often the preferred method because the Tixel can treat the entire lower lid. Repeated treatment is required, and a CO2 laser is needed. Downtime is up to two weeks.

Pico laser for crow’s feet. It is suitable for Asian and darker skin types. It is not appropriate to treat up to the eye, so it is used for more general facial rejuvenation and pigmentation treatment. It costs $380 per treatment and requires 4-6 treatments.

Radiofrequency microneedling for crow’s feet. It cannot treat under-eye wrinkles effectively but is suitable for all skin types. Cost: $600 per treatment. RF microneedling requires a series of 4.

Cost of Other Modalities

Wrinkle treatment, with our doctor’s effectiveness, varies greatly depending on muscle strength and the pattern of eye wrinkles. Depending on the required amount, the ballpark ranges between $200 and $350; please consult our cosmetic doctors. It needs to be repeated every 3–4 months.

Similarly, the cost of volumisers our cosmetic doctors provide varies greatly depending on where the volume loss occurs. These can cost up to $900. Repeat treatment for 12-24 months.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) for Undereye Wrinkles: You can combine PRP with volumisers or PDO threads for a more complete treatment. PRP and under-eye treatments are specialised, and we recommend seeing our doctors for a free consultation to get an accurate quote. (Ballpark $790)
