HOW EFFECTIVE IS LASER HAIR REMOVAL?

Are you longing for flawlessly smooth skin without the constant upkeep? At Simplicity Laser, we pride ourselves on delivering remarkable results. Most of our clients experience an impressive 70 to 90 percent reduction in hair through our Simple Promise Treatment Programs. Other programs are available with varying levels of reduction.

Individual progress varies based on factors like hair color, skin type, hormonal baseline factors, medical conditions, hair thickness, and your valuable feedback on regrowth, resistance, and any changes in texture or color. Rest assured, we use the industry’s top-of-the-line lasers and can cater to all skin tones and hair types. Keep in mind that we are unable to treat those with red, blonde, or gray hair. Our team is dedicated to providing professional guidance throughout your journey to achieve the optimal results for your unique needs.

WHAT DOES IT FEEL LIKE?

Does laser hair removal hurt? While laser hair removal isn't exactly painless, it's notably less painful than waxing. Most people find it quite tolerable, often comparing it to a gentle snap of a rubber band against the skin. It’s important to note that everyone's pain tolerance is unique, but the majority of our clients sail through the procedure with ease. To promote comfort and ease, we use the Zimmer machine, which instantly blows continuous air to cool the treatment area.

WHAT BODY AREAS CAN I GET TREATED?

At Simplicity Laser, we offer comprehensive laser hair removal services for both men and women, covering virtually every body area. For women, the most sought-after areas include the upper lip, underarms, bikini line, and legs. Men commonly opt for treatments on the back of the neck, back, chest, and abdomen. Rest assured, our experienced team is equipped to address your unique preferences and needs, ensuring effective and tailored solutions for every individual. We can treat essentially any area that grows thick, dark, and coarse hair that is not blonde, white, red, or gray.

WHO WILL PERFORM MY TREATMENT?

A certified Simplicity Laser technician will perform each treatment. All of our technicians are licensed estheticians and receive ongoing training to ensure consistent quality and safety.

WHAT LASERS DOES SIMPLICITY LASER USE?

At Simplicity Laser, we use Candela’s GentleMax Pro Laser which is the gold standard for laser hair removal for all Fitzpatrick skin types. It is a dual wavelength laser platform that combines the fastest and most powerful 755 nm (nanometer) Alexandrite laser with an equally powerful 1064 nm (nanometer) Nd:YAG laser for high performance treatment capabilities in terms of speed, efficacy, ease-of-use, performance, safety and client satisfaction.

In our commitment to your comfort, we've incorporated state-of-the-art cooling technology. Our Zimmer machines administer a continuous flow of cold air during your laser sessions, ensuring a comfortable and soothing experience. Your satisfaction and ease during the process are of utmost importance to us.

WHAT WILL IT COST?

Curious about the cost? We've got you covered with affordable starter packages that eliminate the guesswork and are a great way to try out laser hair removal. Kickstart your journey today with prices starting as low as $89 for four treatments on areas such as the chin, or upper lip. For those seeking long-lasting results, our Simple Promise Treatment Program is an excellent and preferred choice. We pride ourselves on our transparent pricing while offering a variety of treatment programs to suit your specific financial needs and permanent hair removal goals.

Have questions? Give us a call, and we'll provide all the pricing details over the phone—no need for a time-consuming, in-person consultation. We're here to make the process straightforward and accessible for you.

CAN I GET TREATED?

Sure! As long as you are not pregnant (or undergoing IVF treatment), do not have epilepsy, lupus or cancer, and are not using any medications that cause photosensitivity. We are unable to treat areas with tattoos or permanent makeup. We can treat essentially any area that grows thick, dark, and coarse hair that is not blonde, white, red, or gray.

WHAT SHOULD I DO FOR PRE-TREATMENT CARE?

  • To keep skin healthy as well as eliminate bacteria, we recommend daily use of our Restorative Gel.
  • Avoid tanning beds and sunless tanning products to prevent adverse reactions.
  • Avoid sun exposure greater than 30 minutes (in the span of 3 weeks), even if wearing sunscreen.
  • The treatment area must be clean-shaven 12-24 hours before your treatment. Unshaved clients will be rescheduled. Razors are not provided in the clinics.
  • Skin must be clean and free of makeup, moisturizers, lotions, oils, deodorant, sunless tanning products, numbing cream, etc. Products on the skin can increase the likelihood of adverse reactions from the laser.
  • Avoid physical activities that increase body temperature for at least 2 hours before treatments.
  • Skin that is sunburned, hot to the touch, peeling, or otherwise damaged cannot be treated.

WHAT SHOULD I DO FOR POST-TREATMENT CARE?

  • Mild redness and swelling of the hair follicles may occur (histamine reaction). This is normal and should lessen with time. Avoid picking or scratching the skin. A cool cloth or cool compress may be applied. Do not use ice.
  • Avoid sun exposure and other sources of UV light for 14 days post-treatment. Careful sun exposure of no more than 30 minutes may be resumed 14 days post-treatment with daily use of zinc oxide sunscreen (SPF 30+). Avoid tanning beds for 14 days post-treatment.
  • Apply a zinc oxide sunscreen (SPF 30+) and use it daily throughout treatments.
  • To reduce heat retention, avoid tight clothing, boots, heated seats, hot baths, steam rooms, hot showers, saunas, etc. The body needs time to cool down after treatments to avoid complications.
  • Avoid activities that increase body temperature for at least 2 hours after treatment, or longer if redness and bumps persist.
  • If redness, swelling, or itching continues, an over-the-counter cortisone cream and/or an oral antihistamine (Benadryl) may be used in addition to cool cloths and Restorative Gel. Do not apply ice or an ice pack directly to the treated areas.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM TREATMENT?

After your treatment, the treated area may be red or pink and feel similar to a sunburn. Common side effects also include itching, the development of hive-like bumps, and tenderness. This is considered a histamine reaction. These side effects are usually self-limiting and should resolve between 24-48 hours post-treatment and continue to heal in the days following the treatment. Simplicity Laser offers Restorative Gel to soothe and protect your skin after treatment. Our proprietary blend of colloidal silver works to pull heat from the area, cool the skin, and accelerate cellular and dermal healing. Daily application is recommended during the course of your laser hair removal journey. A variety of sizes are available for purchase in the clinic. See pre-treatment and post-treatment instructions for more information.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AT MY APPOINTMENT?

  • Before your first appointment, please complete the new client intake forms and other required documents via forms emailed to you. Otherwise, please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment to allow time for you to complete the online paperwork.
  • Upon arriving at the clinic, the receptionist will greet you and check you in for the appointment. Please arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled time to ensure maximum treatment time.
  • Once in the treatment room, the laser technician will qualify your eligibility prior to each treatment by asking a series of questions about recent sun exposure, medication use, pregnancy status, hair growth, and other factors that could affect your eligibility and results.
  • For best results, follow your technician(s) recommendations including pre-treatment and post-treatment care instructions.
  • When treating intimate areas, you will be provided with a privacy drape for your comfort during the treatment.
  • During your treatment, you may experience slight discomfort, comparable to the sensation of a rubber band snapping on your skin. However, it's worth noting that some individuals may not feel any discomfort at all.
  • Following your treatment, you may experience slight redness, bumps, and swelling in the treated area for up to 72 hours. We recommend topical agents such as Restorative Gel, LuxMD, aloe vera, calamine, or over-the-counter hydrocortisone to be applied to the treatment area. Restorative Gel will be provided for your use after treatment.
  • Allow a minimum of 7 to 14 days post-treatment for hair to “fall out" or shed from the skin. Gentle exfoliation (after symptoms have subsided) can help the shedding process and avoid ingrown hairs.
  • Be aware that sun exposure poses a significant risk with laser hair removal treatments. Be sure to follow your technician’s recommendations and avoid the sun for at least 3 weeks before a treatment and 2 weeks after a treatment.
  • After your treatment, the treated area may be red or pink and feel similar to a sunburn. Common side effects also include itching, the development of hive-like bumps (histamine reaction), and tenderness. These side effects are usually self-limiting and should resolve between 24-48 hours post-treatment and continue to heal in the following days.
