Beauty Institute Canada’s Laser Technician Diploma program meets the ever increasing standards and the demands of employers and market for total body and face Aesthetic, Laser/Light Therapy and Anti-aging services. The curriculum is made up of 3 components and totals 420 hours. You may study full – time or you can choose to enroll part – time and attend classes during the evening.
Skin Care
This component provides an excellent introduction to Aesthetics and outlines the history and evolution of the spa industry. It provides excellent theoretical and practical knowledge of skin care, as well as the various skin conditions and treatments that students will be exposed to as the enter the field of Medical Aesthetics. This component covers Theory of Skin, Facials – Acne, Hydrating, Anti-Aging, Electrotherapy and various electric modalities used during facial treatments such as galvanic and high frequency.
Laser
This component introduces students to a variety of Laser and new technologies used in Medi-Spa Clinics by Medical Aestheticians.
Clinical
During this component students will perform all basic Aesthetic skin care services along with Medical Aesthetic services such as: laser hair removal, laser skin rejuvenation, skin tag removal, laser vascular lesion reduction, laser cellulite reduction and laser acne treatments in our clinic setting.
After successful graduation from Beauty Institute Canada you will be entitled to work as a qualified “Laser Technician” or become owner of your own spa and salon.

- Successful completion of entrance evaluation and personal interview
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent.
- Mature student be at least 18 years of age and have a passing score on the superintendent approved entrance test Wonderlic Personnel Test.
- English Proficiency must be demonstrated through an English comprehension test if English is not the applicant’s first language.
- Valid Government Issued Photo ID
